Frequently asked questions

Can I pay with something other than my credit card?

You can pay by credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, or check.

To contribute via Apple Pay, please make your contribution by using an iOS mobile phone. Once you've navigated to vox.com/support-now on your Safari mobile browser, you will see the option to select Apple Pay at checkout.

Checks can be sent to:

Vox Contributions Program
1201 Connecticut Ave NW, 11th floor
Washington, DC 20036

Since our offices are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus crisis, we only check the mail every few weeks. We will receive checks, but it might take a few weeks to be deposited.

I have a question about making a contribution. Who should I contact?

Email us at contribute@vox.com. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

I just wanted to make a one-time donation. How do I turn off auto-renewal?

You can turn on and off recurring billing at any time. To do so, log in to your customer profile and follow these steps:

  • Toggle to "Subscriptions" on the upper right corner of your customer profile.
  • Select "Turn off auto-renewal."
  • Select "Yes, I'm sure."

I accidentally donated the wrong amount.

If you accidentally placed the wrong contribution amount, we offer total and partial refunds. Please contact us by emailing our support team at contribute@vox.com.

Is this payment method secure?

Our payment service, Stripe, provides strong encryption protection. You may read more about that here.

How do I reset my password?

To reset your email address, click here and select "Reset password" at the bottom of the pop-up.

Follow the instructions. Then check your email and follow prompts to reset. You will be prompted to sign in again after you've reset your password.

Tip: Check your spam and promotions folders if you do not immediately see your reset email.

Your contribution does not constitute a charitable donation. But it will enable Vox to continue bringing you essential information — for free — at the pace and scale the coronavirus crisis demands.

Recurring contributions will renew automatically. You may pause or cancel your automatic renewal, or manage your subscription at any time, by clicking here.

When you make a contribution you agree to email communications from the Contributions program. You can opt-out of those communications at any time.

Manage your account here.
